Aerial Work Platforms are low-cost compact lifting devices that lift one or more workers to elevated work areas. Also referred to as: AWP, Aerial Device, Man Lift (man or personal), Elevated Work Platform (EWF), Push-around and Cherry Picker. Aerial platforms are similar but different to scissor lifts. Typically scissor lifts move only vertically, whereas some Aerial Work Platforms can move vertically, horizontally, and sometimes can even rotate from a vertical axis. Aerial work platforms are a low cost alternative to scissor lifts and in some cases can be used in place of order pickers. Some manufacturers include Genie, JLG, SkyTrak, Bil-Jax.
